ABOUT THE ARTS:

In 2016, the MaxAbilities recreation program started a week long summer arts program to provide an additional activity option for parents during the summer months. The Art camp is held in July each summer and has a variety of activities for kids aged 9-18 to participate in. Activities rotate annually but have included: Martial Arts, Drawing, Painting, Music, Cosplay, Decoupage, Cooking and Dance. The Art Camp for 2018 is scheduled for the week of July 16-20.

 

 

BASKETBALL:

In 2015, The MaxAbilities recreation program started its first summer camp program for kids. MaxAbilities contracts with the Bounce Out The Stigma Project to run the camp which provides instruction on the fundamentals of basketball, sportsmanship and developing a healthy lifestyle- all while having a great time. Winthrop University’s men’s basketball coaching staff and players donate their time and talents each year to help make this camp a truly unique and popular event.

 

The scheduled events for FY 2017/2018 are:

Winter Mini Camp: Date to be announced in December 2017 (dependent on Winthrop University Men’s Basketball Schedule)

Summer Week Camp: June 18-22, 2018
